Artist's Statement

My artistic journey, marked by a return to clay after nearly two decades in the field of education, is a testament to the enduring allure of ceramics. My passion lies in the delicate balance of wheel throwing and handbuilding, where I harness the versatility of stoneware clay to create functional pieces that bridge form and function. Informed by my background in 3-Dimensional Design, I carefully curate color palettes that flow together harmoniously, infusing intentionality into every aspect of my work. With each piece I craft, I aim to extend the joy I derive from the creative process to the user, inviting them to savor both the tactile beauty and the enduring craftsmanship of my creations.
